Alur demi alur sangat menyenangkan untuk diikuti. Walaupun agak slow paced, tapi Matthew Perry benar-benar mampu membuat karakter Hudson yang membosankan menjadi menarik. Tidak ada satu moment pun yang boring, atau berlebihan. Semuanya pas. Bumbu-bumbu komedi juga saya anggap berhasil diramu dengan sempurna. Tidak akan membuat kita terbahak-bahak ala friends, cukup tertawa, tapi rasanya pas. Bagaimana, Hudson bolak-balik ke beberapa psikiater, dari yang jebolan Harvard sampai professor sana-sini yang ended up jadi psycho karena jatuh cinta sama Hudson. Bahkan demi mencaritahu penyebabnya, Hudson rela menjadi kelinci percobaan di suatu Universitas, yang kemudian juga tentunya, tidak menjawab pertanyaannya.
Bumbu romantis juga diramu dengan baik. Sarah (Lynn Collins) yang jatuh cinta kepada Hudson yang ‘unusual’ mau menerima Hudson apa adanya. Bahkan sampai bela-belain menemani Hudson protes ke psikiater.

Sudah sering dengar sih, Perry banyak dipuji untuk aktingnya di beberapa film. Tapi saya sendiri belum nonton film-film tersebut. Bagi saya, Chandler adalah pria paling lucu di Friends. Menurut saya juga, jebolan Friends belum mampu melepaskan 'karakter Friends' mereka ketika bermain di film-film lain. Tapi tidak dengan Matthew Perry. He’s very good in this movie.
